Psycho-Educational Assessment

What is it? 

Psycho-Educational Assessment is taking a detailed look at students natural ability (memory, processing speed, visual spatial abilities, and attention) and school based achievement (reading, mathematics and writing). Theses psychoeducational evaluations can be done as early as Kindergarten and into post secondary.

Why is it needed? 

Most people who come in for an assessment have a problem at school. They are really struggling with math, reading, or have a hard time paying attention in class. This formal document provides the school and teachers a detailed picture of the student. The teacher can then modify how they teach that student, to suite their needs.  In some cases it get the schools more funding, to provide better support for the students in need. 

How long will it take to administer the assessment? 

In most cases, the assessment will be broken up to two – 2 hour sessions. Could go longer dependent on the severity of the case, additional behaviours, and speed of the student. 

What does it cost? 

At my clinic I charge a flat rate for an Psycho-Educational Assessment. And additional fee for a Behavioural assessment. Contact me for more information.
