Safe & Child-Centered Reunification, Direct Billing, and Easy Booking

Unification or Reunification Therapy is a specialized form of family therapy focused on repairing and rebuilding parent-child relationships. It is not intended to assess whether contact with a parent is in the child’s best interests. Instead, it requires both parents to agree that fostering a healthy relationship with each parent is in the child’s best interests. This therapy provides a structured intervention to support the rebuilding process effectively.

Our psychologists offer court-mandated reunification services that are:

Safe and structured: Sessions are guided by clinically informed protocols and best practices tailored to the needs of both the child and parent.
Neutral and collaborative: We work with legal representatives, guardians-ad-litem, and other professionals to ensure that the intervention is consistent with court orders, and transparent in its process.
Child-centered: The child’s emotional well-being, sense of safety, and readiness are central. We proceed at a pace appropriate for them, with sensitivity to past trauma, attachment disruptions, or loss.
Focused on communication & relationship building: Through supervised parent-child interactions, psycho-education, therapeutic exercises, and regular monitoring, we aim to rebuild trust, improve understanding, and support healthy bonding.

Rates from $265/hour.

What to Expect

Phase 1: Clinical Intake Consultation (CIC)

The purpose of the Clinical Intake Consultation (CIC) is to assess whether Reunification Therapy is appropriate for the family. If recommended, the CIC outlines the most suitable treatment approach.  If Reunification Therapy is not deemed appropriate, the CIC offers alternative recommendations to address the family’s specific needs.

The CIC involves:

  • Review of intake materials and key documents, such as court orders, parenting agreements, or assessments
  • Interviews with parents, children, and other relevant individuals
  • Contact with professionals previously involved with the family, if needed, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the clinical issues

The CIC typically spans 4-6 weeks, though the timeline may vary depending on the case.

Phase 2: Family Therapy Intervention:

After completing the CIC, a customized family therapy intervention plan is developed. This phase is designed to implement the plan and facilitate the repair of parent-child relationships.

Family Therapy Intervention involves:

  • Therapy sessions with family members (individually and in various combinations)
  • Co-Parenting Work: For high-conflict families, including those with no-contact or restraining orders, we provide guidance to improve communication and foster healthier co-parenting practices.

Recognizing that some families may prefer or require parallel parenting due to their legal and family history, we offer tailored strategies that respect boundaries while prioritizing the child’s well-being.
